That's why GDS uses a wide range of safeguards and systems to ensure the integrity of sensitive information.
Most clients connect to us via private lines, and hence often choose not to encrypt data. For those that transmit over the Internet, we support all public encryption methods as well as a number of proprietary applications. Since most of our data processing is extremely time-sensitive, data sitting on internal servers is decrypted to allow the fastest possible processing. Data for Web presentation, while not encrypted, is always stored at least one and often two levels away from the Web server.
GDS deploys a number of firewall and anti-virus/anti-spam tools. In addition, we use a number of commercially-available and custom intrusion detection systems (IDS) to constantly monitor the state of our networks. Finally, GDS has an ongoing relationship with a well-known security consulting firm, who provide both technical knowledge and support.
